yet another town with grat antique shops, this one is called cayucus.

this chap is called fred. he seemed genuinely pleased to meet us.

even going so far as to offer us the hand of friendship.

across the road from the antique shop is the beach...

...where you will find swings...

...and the obligatory lifeguard house and the pier.

medicine is dispensed here.

finally we made it to the madonna inn located in san luis obispo.

it is the amazing creation of alex madonna. we would like to peak

inside his mind, but i guess staying there is enough...

we managed to get the room we booked and here it is, ride 'em cowboy.

this desk was used to write postcards on, the phone worked too!

and here is our bathroom, the shower came complete

with and waterfall, note handily placed phone.

i like to think that barbara cartland was called in as an interior

consultant, but i don't believe she was.

these flowers are changed hourly by the girl on the swing.
